Competitions - Auckland

SUB Football Network will be running 9 Competitions this summer, subject to confirmation of venue bookings by Auckland City Council.

Mixed Section

a. Madills Farm (Kohimarama) - Monday

Unfortunately, we must advise that Auckland City has declined our application to run a SUB Football Competition at Madills Farm.

b. Auckland Domain - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Each of these 4 Competitions are for 48 teams to be played on 8 pitches.
Each team will play 3 Grading Games followed by 11 Competition Games in either 1st , 2nd , 3rd or 4th Division.
Each Division winner will qualify to participate in the Top 8 Play Offs held at the end of the season. The 3 best runners-up from the 5 Mixed Competitions will also qualify.
Playing dates for Monday Competition : October 23/30, November 6/13/20/27, December 4, January 15/22/29, February 5/12/19/26.
Playing dates : for Tuesday Competition plus 1, Wednesday plus 2, Thursday plus 3.
Entry Fee : $550 incl. gst per team

Notes

Mixed teams may have a male or female goalkeeper but not more than three male outfield players. Most Mixed teams have a male goalkeeper, plus three male and three female outfield players.

All-Female teams may play in a Mixed Competition.

Men's Section

a. Walker Park (Pt Chevalier) - Monday

This is a Competition for 36 teams to be played on 6 pitches.
Each team will play 3 Grading Games followed by 11 Competition Games played in either 1st , 2nd or 3rd Division.
Each Division winner and runner-up, will qualify to participate in the Top 8 Play Offs held at the end of the season.
Playing dates : October 30, November6/13/20/27, December 4/11, January 15/22/29, February 5/12/19/26.
Entry Fee : $550 incl. gst per team

b. Seymour Park ( Royal Oak ) - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

These are Competitions for 30 teams to be played on 5 pitches.
Each team will play 5 Grading Games followed by 9 Competition Games played in either 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd Division.
Each Division winner and runner-up, will qualify to participate in the Top 8 Play Offs held at the end of the season.
Playing dates for Tuesday Competition : October 31, November 7/14/21/28, December 5/12.
Playing Dates : for Wednesday plus 1, for Thursday plus 2.
Entry Fee : $550 incl. gst per team

General Information

Each team plays one game per week.

Competition Selection

  1. Each team may choose in which Competition it wishes to participate. If a Monday Competition is chosen, all games will be played on a Monday, if a Tuesday Competition is chosen, all games will be played on a Tuesday, etc.
  2. First 1/3 of teams to register in each Competition will play their Grading Games at 6.40 p.m., second 1/3 of teams at 7.20 p.m. and third 1/3 of teams at 6.00 p.m.
  3. Kick-off times of Competition Games will be rotated.

Registration

The SUB Football website has on online registration facility.
After registration, a computer generated email will confirm that the registration has been received and advice that payment of an entry fee is required to secure participation in a Competition.
When SUB Football Network receives an Entry Fee, it is cross referenced to the team's registration and, provided the Competition is not already full, a computer generated email will confirm the team's participation.

Tax Invoice

If an Entry Fee is paid by an organization registered for gst, there is a facility for generating a Tax Invoice which is emailed to the team organizer. 

Division Winners

For winning a Competition Game, a team will receive 3 points, if a game is drawn both teams receive 1 point. No points are awarded to a team that loses a game.

When all Competition Games are completed, the team with the most game points in each Division is declared the Division Winner. In the event of two or more teams having the same number of game points, score points difference will be taken into consideration.

Notes 

  1. Each Division Winner will receive a trophy to hold for a year.
  2. 10 medals will be presented to each Division Winning team.

Fixtures

Fixtures for both Grading Games and Competition Games will be published on the SUB Football website.

Results and Tables

Results and Tables are published on the SUB Football website on a "morning after" basis, e.g. if a team plays on a Monday night, results and tables will be published on the website on Tuesday morning.
