Danone World Cup 2008 - NZ and Oceania Qualifying Tournament

The results of all games played in the NZ Competitions to find the NZ Men's and Women's Champions and the Oceania Finals are included below.

The object of this event, to be held at Manurewa High School, 67 Browns Rd, Manurewa, Auckland on Sunday, 20 April, is to find a Men's and a Women's team to represent the Oceania region in the Danone World Cup to be held in Miami, Florida.

12 NZ Men's and 4 NZ Women's teams will compete to find NZ Men's and Women's Champion teams.

The 12 NZ Men's teams have been drawn to play a round-robin competition in 3 x 4 team groups.

Group A will comprise : Miami Majic, Nutricia NZ (M), Cool Runnings, Southern Force.

Group B will comprise : Miami Vice, Arano, DC Destroyers, Reverse Crayfish IX.

Group C will comprise : Thriller B's, Florida Force, DC Knightz, Last of the Summer Wine.

The Winner's of the 3 groups plus the best Runner Up will then play Semi Finals and a Final.

Note : In the Semi Finals, the best group Winner will play the best Runner Up

The 4 Women's teams will play a round-robin series.

The Women's Group will comprise : Frucor Freestylers, Nutricia NZ (W), Smoken Aces and Pink Flamingos.

There will be a Play Off if no clear winner is found.
