Misconduct

The Laws of SUB Football are published on this website.

Each match is controlled by a referee who has full authority to enforce the Laws of the Game in relation to the match to which he/she has been appointed.

When a player commits an offence, a referee will, under normal circumstances, award a free kick to the opposing team.

For specific offences, a referee may be required to sin-bin or send a player off.

A player who is sin-binned is required to stay off the field of play for 5 minutes and may not be replaced by a substitute.

A player who is sent off may not be replaced by a substitute.

If a referee has to send a player off, he/she is required to submit an incident report to SUB Football Network.

The incident report is used to determine the length of time the player who has been sent off is to be suspended.

The minimum suspension for any player sent off is one game.

The suspension may be two or more games depending on the nature of the offence.

Any player who indulges in violent conduct, serious foul play or referee abuse, will be expelled from the Competition.
