Portable Goals

Portable goals are used for SUB Football.

They are assembled immediately prior to use and dis-assembled immediately after use.

They are transported to/from each venue on a daily basis and stored as three components at an off-site location.

The goals are 2 metres in height and 4 metres in width.

They are made from galvanised steel tube that is 32 mms in diameter and has a wall thickness of 2 mms.

There are three interlocking components to each goal, a crossbar and two uprights.

Total weight of a goal is 21 kgs.

When erected, the goals are secured by 4 steel pins which in Australia are 300 mms in length. In New Zealand they are 200 mms in length.

Nets are secured to the uprights and crossbar with 15 carabiner clips and to the ground by 2 steel pins that are 200 mms in length.

The nets are 2 metres in height x 4 metres in width and 1.4 metres in depth.

In front of each goal is a goalkeeper's area which is 3 metres in depth and 12 metres in width. Outfield players are not permitted in the goalkeeper's area.

In Australia, the portable goals have been approved for use by Sportscover which provides public liability insurance for the majority of sports codes.
